Marvin has been in the building trade since leaving school where he started labouring on his bricklayer father when younger. He then became an apprentice with Rochdale Council as a joiner and worked to get his city and guilds qualifications. Marvin was then employed by a local company where he started as a joiner and over the years worked his way up to foreman, site manager, project manager and eventually achieved the role of contracts manager. The company he had been part of for many years was sold, and he took the opportunity to become self-employed and set up C and C Projects North Ltd.  Originally he focused on smaller domestic work such as fitting kitchens to rental accommodation and minor refurbishments. The company grew organically to the point where Marvin had to come off the tools and transition into a full-time director’s role. Marvin’s technical knowledge as well as his relationship with the team and the clients has been a huge part of the company’s success.  With the introduction of business partner Leon, together they have made the firm into a busy building company working for various national clients and are delivering a variety of projects.
